The goal of Departmental Financial Systems is to provide integrated computer applications focused on meeting departmental needs and requirements for maintaining accurate financial records. Using the Departmental Financial Systems' applications, departments may prepare their yearly budget; prepare and track budget amendment and personnel documents; review accounting information and integrate cost center information; and review financial data for major data structures under the VP for Business and Finance. Hands-on training classes are offered on a regular basis as part of the normal series of computer skills classes available through the University's Training and Development Department.
