Dorsey oversees all real estate transactions for the
University,
including commercial leases, property
acquisitions, rights-of-way, and ground leases for
privately financed developments on campus. He also
manages space allocation decisions and chairs the University’s
Space Allocation Advisory Committee. Additionally,
Dorsey is responsible for communications with the Office
of Real Estate and Facilities at the University System
of Georgia’s Board of Regents.
Prior to
his position at the University, Dorsey served eight
years as a facilities program manager on staff
at the Board of Regents office, overseeing the design,
construction and real estate programs of several of
the system’s colleges and universities.
Dorsey
is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology
and is a registered architect. He previously practiced
as an architect with Lord, Aeck and Sargent Architecture
in Atlanta, Georgia.
