Senior VP Finance & Administration

The Associate Vice President for Auxiliary and Administrative Services is responsible for the administrative management of Auxiliary Services units, Administrative Services units, Food Services Units, University Police Department and Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness. Duties include planning, directing and coordinating these activities which provide goods and services required to meet the educational objectives of the institution and for the security of students, faculty, staff and visitors at the University of Georgia. The Associate Vice President reports to the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration.

Auxiliary Services units are established by the President upon recommendation of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration, subject to the approval of the Board of Regents. Auxiliary Services units fulfill a variety of needs of students, faculty and staff, must be operated in a financially self-supporting manner.

Administrative Services units provide a wide range of services in support of activities of the various operating units of the University. These services include: Campus Mail & Duplicating Services, Central Receiving, Central Office Supply, Directory Assistance and the Records Center.

The Administrative Services office also is responsible for the purchase of property damage insurance for University-owned buildings and contents through the Office of Risk Management in the State's Department of Administrative Services, and for obtaining required property, liability and automobile insurance coverage from DOAS Risk Management and/or private agencies as well as management of claims related to the assets and resources of the University of Georgia.

The University Police Department is responsible for the safety and security of students, faculty, employees, and visitors at the University of Georgia and provides services which contribute to the protection of University property.

The Office of Security and Emergency Preparedness is responsible for providing security and emergency preparedness planning, information, training, and programs that enable the University to avert or mitigate the impact of large scale emergencies resulting from natural or man-made disasters.
