Instate Travel Per Diems

Meal allowance for travel within Georgia is $28 ($6 for breakfast, $7 for lunch, $15 for dinner).

Meal allowance for travel to high cost areas within Georgia is $36 ($7 for breakfast, $9 for lunch, $20 for dinner). High cost areas are the following counties: Chatham, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Glynn, & Gwinnett.

Any instate meal per diems exceeded should be justified on the travel expense statement.

Travelers are allowed to exceed the federal per diem rate by up to 25%. Lodging which exceeds the federal per diem rate in excess of 25% must be justified by the traveler on the travel expense statement.
