First Annual Employee Recognition Ceremony

Over
1,200 Finance and Administration employees attended the
inaugural F&A Recognition Ceremony. The event was
held to demonstrate appreciation for employees’ years
of dedicated service and to congratulate those who have
achieved service milestones. Awards were presented to
employees with five or more total years of service as
of June 30, 2005. Pictured below are images taken at
the ceremony, including the presentation of awards to
employees with 25 or more years of service.

Speakers and award recipients were broadcast live
on the big screen so everyone could see. Here, Senior Vice President
Hank Huckaby addresses the crowd.

the afternoon event.

Senior Vice President Hank Huckaby congratulated
Joe Seay of Vehicle Transportation and Maintenance, who is
Finance and Administration’s
longest-serving employee – nearly 42 years!

All of the Associate Vice Presidents (including Controller
Holley Schramski) commended their staff members on a job well
done.

Kendall Kavanaugh, who chaired the F&A Recognition
Committee, led the crowd in applause for the efforts of her
team members.

85-year-old Wylie Powers, who works as a custodian at Caldwell
Hall, was honored for 25 years of service to the university.

Members of the Recognition Ceremony distributed awards to employees
with 5, 10, 15 or 20 years of service following the ceremony.

| Employees honored at the morning ceremony and the afternoon
ceremony for 30 or more years of service each received a framed
certificate and commemorative rocking chair. |
