The 2006-07 Finance and Administration Fellows Program

The Finance and Administration Fellows Program is part of an overarching program
designed to improve the “bench strength” of the
division by broadening employees’ knowledge of the
diverse functions of Finance and Administration; building
employees’ individual knowledge, skills and abilities;
and forging connections for potential career growth and advancement. Each Fellow spent six months working in two F&A divisions (three months in each section).
Finance and Administration Fellows Brett Jackson and Rod Platt successfully completed the program and were honored at a luncheon with their supervisors and the Finance and Administration senior staff in April 2007.
Their placements were as follows:
Brett Jackson
Brett Jackson began employment with the University of Georgia in 2005 and serves as a senior accountant in Parking Services. Her fellowship experience included the Controller's Office and Architects Office.
Rod
Platt
Rod Platt has worked at the University of Georgia since 1991 and presently serves as a patrol lieutenant with the University Police Department. His Fellowship experience included the Physical Plant and Human Resources.
