The 2007-08 Finance and Administration Fellows Program

Finance
and Administration Fellows Tomekia Wilson, Al Jeffers and
Franky Zhang were honored at a luncheon on the Administration
Building patio with their supervisors and the Finance and
Administration senior staff in April 2008
F&A Fellows,
now in its third year, is part of an overarching program
designed to improve the “bench strength” of the
division by broadening employees’ knowledge of the
diverse functions of Finance and Administration; building
employees’ individual knowledge, skills and abilities;
and forging connections for potential career growth and advancement.
Each
Fellow spends six months working in two F&A divisions
(three months in each section). The placements begin after
Labor Day, and Fellows return to their home departments for
the month of December.
The 2007-08 Fellows and their placements are:
Al
Jeffers
Al serves as assistant materials manager for
the Physical Plant Division and has worked at the University
since 2003. His Fellowship placements included Human
Resources and a joint placement with the Budget Division
and Architects Office.
Tomekia
Wilson
Tomekia Wilson has worked at the University
of Georgia since 2004. She serves as an accountant in
the Payroll Department. Her placements included the Physical
Plant Division and Auxiliary and Administrative Services.
Chenyao “Franky” Zhang
Franky Zhang has worked at the University of Georgia since
2006 and presently serves as an application analyst associate
with Parking Services. He served his first rotation with
Auxiliary and Administrative Services and will serve
his second rotation with Human Resources in fall 2008.
