Announces 2009-10 Fellows
Finance
and Administration Fellows Brad Langford, Andre Simmons and
Victor Babson.
Finance
and Administration (F&A) has
selected its 2009-10 participants in the F&A Fellows
Program. F&A Fellows, now in its fifth year, is part
of an overarching program designed to improve the “bench
strength” of the division by broadening employees’ knowledge
of the diverse functions of Finance and Administration; building
employees’ individual knowledge, skills and abilities;
and forging connections for potential career growth and advancement.
Each Fellow spends six months working in two F&A divisions
(three months in each section). The placements begin
in September, and Fellows return to their home departments
for the month of December.
The 2009-10 Fellows and their placements are:
 Victor
Babson
Victor serves as an IT manager with the Physical Plant Division
and has worked for the University of Georgia for eight years.
His fellowship placements include Auxiliary and Administrative
Services and the Controller’s Office.
Brad
Langford
Brad has worked with the Contracts and Grants Department
(Controller’s Office) of the University of Georgia
for six years and currently serves as a grants accounting
specialist. His placements include Human Resources and the
Architects Office.
Andre
Simmons
Andre is a senior accountant with the Accounts Payable Department (Controller’s
Office) and has worked at the University of Georgia for four years. His placements
include the Physical Plant Division and Auxiliary and Administrative Services
