New
to F&A Day 2006 began with walking tours of the downtown
area guided by several local community leaders. Here, Paul Chambers
of BellSouth and Sandy Turner of the Athens-Clarke County Government
share their insights with new F&A staff members.

Trumps
Catering provided breakfast for the 70 participants.

The
breakfast program included a video and comments on Athens
activities
and opportunities for civic involvement from local leaders
like UGA's Community Relations Director Pat Allen and Mayor
Heidi
Davison.

Participants
enjoyed guided tours of historic North Campus led by students
from the UGA Visitors Center.
|
 |
For
some F&A employees, New to F&A Day marked their first
visit to North Campus and the downtown area.
|
 |
Senior
Vice President Hank Huckaby gave an overview of the breadth
and scope of Finance and Administration at the Chapel on North
Campus.

| Following
the Chapel session, participants embarked on a bus tour of campus
which focused on sites relevant to Finance and Administration. |
 |
Door
prizes were presented at the concluding lunch at The Summit
in the East Village Commons. Diane Colarusso won two tickets
to a UGA football game in the fall!

New
to F&A Day was organized and implemented by the Finance
and Administration Diversity Committee. Here, team members pose
