CONFERENCE CALL SYSTEM

The Conference Call System can be assembled in an instant, allowing faculty and staff to conduct business with colleagues, suppliers and remote personnel - no matter where they are in the world. Conference calls can be established in advance or on the spur of the moment. The conference call system allows great flexibility and can accommodate up to twenty-three concurrent participants. To establish a conference call, you may go to the forms website and use our new form (Conference Call Request Form). After completing the form, you may fax the form to 706-583-0486 or email the form to dirasst@uga.edu. If you need assistance please contact Directory Assistance at (706)542-3000.

A University of Georgia operator will email the person requesting the conference call to confirm the date, time, duration, number of participants, the call in phone number for the conference bridge and the conference code. It is the responsibility of the department requesting the conference call to disseminate this information to the other participants. At the designated time of the conference, each participant will dial the conference bridge number and will be prompted for the conference code.

The conference bridge phone number is 820014 for on-campus users. For off campus users, please dial (706)542-0014). Toll free for long distance within the U.S. is (1-866-652-6689). Callers originating outside the U.S. will be responsible for paying any charges incurred. If a department wishes to incur the cost for calls originating outside the U.S., an operator will need to manually establish the conference call and charge the departments's authorization code. After dialing into the conference bridge, each participant will be prompted for the conference code and then pound sign. Each conference will have a specific code that is created by the system when the operator establishes the conference.

This service is being offered to all faculty and staff for the purpose of conducting University business. There are no charges for faculty and staff participating in conference calls originating within the U.S..
