Finance
and Administration Recognition Committee
The
seeds for the Finance and Administration Recognition
Ceremony were sown in July 2004 when then a committee,
comprised of broad representation across the various
Finance and Administration divisions, considered the
development of a program to recognize employees for their
years of service. At the time the committee began its
work, there were a few individual programs within discrete
units of Finance and Administration, but no concerted
effort had been made to create a formal, unified program.
The
Recognition Committee meticulously researched programs
at other universities and considered numerous award options.
The group’s recommendations were presented to the
Finance and Administration senior administrative team in
2005. By the end of the year, a plan was developed for
the inaugural event on Wednesday, May 17, 2006.
