Kathy Pharr serves as the assistant vice president for finance and administration. Her primary duties are to coordinate administrative matters and special projects that flow through the Office of the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration and to serve as a liaison for Finance and Administration and its units.

Prior to joining Finance and Administration, Pharr served as assistant to the president at the University of Georgia and was the liaison with the University’s facilities and fund-raising units. Previously, she served as director of communications and public relations at the UGA School of Law. Before assuming that position, she served as a television news reporter in Louisville, Kentucky, and Savannah, Georgia.

Pharr earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism as a First Honor Graduate from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in public administration, with a specialization in higher education, also from UGA.
