Vice President for Environmental Safety
Wayne
Dill serves as the associate vice president
of the University’s Environmental
Safety Division, a position he has held since April
2005. He is responsible
for the management of programs in asbestos, biosafety,
emergency operations, environmental health, hazmat
response, hazardous waste and materials, chemical and
laboratory safety, radiation safety, right to know,
fire safety, outreach services and regulatory compliance.
Dill
received a bachelor of science degree, with a major
in business administration,
from North Georgia
College, and a master’s of business administration
from the University of Georgia. He is also a graduate
of the U.S. Army War College and the U.S. Army Command
and General Staff College.
Dill
retired as a colonel after 26 ½ years
of service in the U.S. Army, primarily in command and
managerial positions. He then worked for 17 years as
director of services in the University of Georgia’s
Physical Plant division prior to assuming interim leadership
of ESD.
