Airline Contract Information
The current statewide contracted rates are available
by directly contacting AirTran and Delta. State travelers
must indicate that they are making reservations under
the State of Georgia contracted rates.
The
City-Pair statewide contract with Delta Airlines, Inc.
expired
on August 31, 2007. The Georgia Department
of Administrative Services, State Purchasing Division,
is currently negotiating to secure a Delta statewide
contract for this fiscal year. As a courtesy until a
statewide contract can be established with Delta for
routes not covered by the airline SWC, Delta will offer
a non-contract Discount Government (“YDGGA”)
rate to state travelers.
Delta is also offering non-contract Delta Government
rates to travelers until a statewide contract can be
established. Delta has expanded the offer to include
deeper discounted rates (KDGGA/TDGGA) for selected markets.
The lower fares are capacity controlled, which means
only a few seats on designed flights are available at
this rate.

Reservations
can be made through one of the University of Georgia’s authorized travel agencies. To view
a complete list of authorized agencies, visit our travel
portal at http://www.campustravel.com/university/georgia/ and click on the “Travel Agencies” link
on the left.
Reservations can also be made by contacting Delta directly.
When calling to make reservations, prompt the agent to
look for the fare using Passenger Type Code: GST. Delta

Please
note discounted fares are currently available through
AirTran Airways under statewide contract (SWC 070762.)
This contract is effective until February 28, 2008.
The City-Pair statewide contract with Airtran should
be the first source to check for acquiring air travel.
Thus, the Delta non-contract fares can only be used
for destination cities not covered by the SWC with
Airtran; or if the Delta non-contract fare is substantially
lower than a destination city served by AirTran on
the SWC, then the Delta non-contract fare may be booked
